This 1975 Honda GL1000 Gold Wing is finished in Candy Antares Red with gold and orange pin striping. It is powered by a liquid-cooled, 999cc SOHC flat-four coupled to a five-speed transmission. This first-model-year Goldwing is offered with a reserve price and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The GL1000 features an enclosed driveshaft, a flat two-up seat, a four-into-two, chrome-accented exhaust, electric and kick starters, chrome fenders and mirrors, and both center and side stands. Stopping power comes from triple-disc brakes. Work reportedly performed under current ownership included restoring bright parts and applying a protective clear coat. Installed new belts, hoses, fuel pump, and fuel lines. Brakes were rebuilt, Gafler SS lines were installed, the speedometer and tachometer were serviced, and a complete Dyna ignition, including coils and wires, was installed. Upgraded the regulator/rectifier with a modern unit, new Progressive fork springs, and new Progressive 412 rear shocks. The carburetors were rebuilt and synced.
The fuel tank, side covers, and radiator shroud are finished in Candy Antares Red with gold and orange pin striping. The paint is said to be original. The bike includes a two-up seat, passenger grab strap, locking storage compartment, chrome fenders front and rear, chrome mirrors, and center and side stands.
This beautiful example sports classic wire-spoke wheels measuring 19″ in the front and 17″ at the rear. Braking is handled by dual discs up front and a single disc at the rear. Suspension consists of a telescopic front fork with Progressive springs and dual chrome coil-over Progressive 412 shocks.
The 150-mph speedometer has a five-digit odometer currently displaying 17,737 miles. The tachometer includes an 8,500-rpm redline and an integrated coolant temperature gauge. The red line shows some fading. The fuel level gauge is mounted on the tank.
Factory-rated output was 80 horsepower and 61 lb-ft of torque. The four Keihin carburetors were reportedly overhauled and tuned. A five-speed transmission and an enclosed driveshaft transfer power to the rear wheel.

This 1974 Norton Commando 850 Roadster is powered by an 829cc air-cooled parallel twin. It has a kick starter, a single Mikuni carburetor, a hi-temp black ceramic chrome exhaust system, a four-speed transmission, telescopic Roadholder forks, a front disc brake, wire-spoke wheels, Smiths instrumentation, and a Corbin Gunfighter saddle. This Commando is offered with a reserve and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The fuel tank and side covers were refinished in black and silver. Details include chrome fenders, a black Corbin Gunfighter seat, a polished primary cover, black peashooter exhaust pipes, and both center and side stands. The 19″ front and rear wire-spoke wheels have excellent rubber ready to ride home. The suspension consists of a Roadholder telescopic fork and dual rear shocks mounted to the swingarm. A front disc brake and a rear drum handle the braking. Power is transferred to the rear wheel through a four-speed transmission with a right-side shifter and a drive chain with a blacked-out chain guard. The chrome café style handlebar sits under a fly screen and is mounted aft of the 150-mph Smiths speedometer and a matching 10k-rpm tachometer. The odometer shows 1,847 miles.
The Isolastic, rubber-mounted 829cc air-cooled parallel twin was factory-rated at 60 horsepower and features a kick starter, a single Mikuni carburetor conversion, and a black dual exhaust system with upswept, peashooter, reverse-megaphone mufflers. The VIN 310103 is stamped on the engine case and headstock plate, delivering a collector’s dream matching numbers bike.
The owner purchased this 1974 Norton Commando 850 Roadster MkII with matching numbers around August 2004 from Ken Armann Classic and Antique Motorcycle Restoration and Repair in Campbell, California. The owner states that the bike it was in pieces in several plastic boxes.
The motor and transmission are bone stock; Ken Armann blueprinted, lightened, and balanced them. A single Mikuni carburetor was chosen for the low-end torque, perfect for carving the canyons.
This bike is slightly raised (.5” front) from the beefed-up Norbsa Roadholder fork rebuild. A steering dampener was added. Triple trees, headlight shell, all mounts, and clamps are powder-coated satin black, as were the frame, swingarm, and engine cradles. Stock, wrinkle finish controls mount on a low, stainless ES2 handlebar mounted upside down. The current owner liked the look of old-school flyscreens and carved this one out of the center of a Japanese sportbike. The polished front forks mount a Mark III single-stay stainless front fender. The stock rear fender supports the early Commando beehive taillight for a look that compliments the Corbin Gunfighter seat. An early curved chain guard was chosen for the same reason.
The 19” front and rear shouldered rims are Excel alloy laced with stainless spokes by Banke Performance. Tires are Avon Venom. The front brake is the stock Lockheed rebuilt with heavy-duty disk pucks and pumped by the stock, re-sleeved master cylinder. The front rotor was reground and powder coated. Rear shocks are Progressive. A Boyer/MightyMax electronic ignition system eliminated mechanical points. Everything is hidden under the tank and behind a side cover next to a new gel battery. The original primary and timing cover and “Z” plates were polished and inlaid with black enamel where appropriate. The fuel tank is a stock steel Roadster tank. The vintage look is from powder coating the entire tank in 3 coats of ceramic aluminum, polishing that to a luster, and overpainting in gloss black. Dunstall rear sets aid cornering ergonomics.
Other Notes:
Included are the stock 2-up saddle (new cover) and stock footpegs.
Repair manuals and build receipts are included.
Minor nickel-sized blemish in the tank’s clear coat, bottom right-center.
For safety, the 20-year-old tires should be replaced
The bike was run at the Bubb Bonneville Speed Week
(The bike reached a maximum speed of 98.7mph when jacket vents ballooned open)

This 1975 Honda XR75 was acquired in 2019 by the seller, who subsequently performed a full restoration with all NOS parts where possible and high-quality reproduction parts. The restoration included repainting the frame, fuel tank, and side panels, vapor honing the engine carb and wheel hubs, replacing the wheels, and lacing with new spokes, fenders, seat, exhaust, and handlebars. Power is delivered by a 72cc four-stroke single-cylinder engine connected to a four-speed transmission. The bike is finished in Tahitian Red with black side panels over a tubular steel frame. Standard equipment includes a side stand, kickstarter, wire-spoke wheels, and knobby tires. This XR75 is now offered with a reasonable reserve in San Jose, California. As this motorcycle is for off-road use only, there is no title. The sale will come with a California DMV bill of sale.
The fuel tank was restored by stripping the old paint using walnut shells in a blast box, pushing the dents out from the inside, and using minimal filler. The primer, color coat, and clear coats were blocked smooth. The clear coat was machine polished with a 3M three-stage process to produce a show-quality finish. The restoration also included replacing the seat cover and foam. The original seat pan was restored, and the seat cover includes the Honda logo.
Replacement DID rims were laced with Honda OEM spokes and vapor-honed wheel hubs. New knobby tires, tubes, and rim straps completed the wheels. The suspension received new front fork tubes and dual Showa shocks mounted to the swingarm. The new chrome handlebars feature a cross brace and new grips and cables.
The 72cc four-stroke single breathes through a rebuilt Keihin carburetor and a replacement exhaust system supplied by David Silver Spares. The kickstarter is an NOS replacement. The entire engine was vapor-honed and painted in the original Honda silver. The restoration included a new wiring harness, ignition coil, points, and condenser.
